User Data Deletion
You have the right to request deletion of your account and all personal data at any time. We will process your request and permanently erase your data within 30 days.
What Data Gets Deleted
When you request account deletion, the following data associated with your account is permanently erased:

* Shipment records involving other users are anonymised (your personal details removed) and retained for up to 12 months to allow other parties to resolve disputes. The data no longer identifies you.

How to Request Deletion
You can request deletion using any of the three methods below:
Via the App (Recommended)
Open MarLogic → Settings → Account → Delete My Account. You will be asked to confirm with your password. Deletion begins immediately.
Via Email
Send an email to hello@devandrepair.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include your registered email address and full name. We will verify your identity and confirm within 24 hours.

Can I cancel my deletion request?
Yes — you can cancel within 7 days of submitting by emailing hello@devandrepair.com with the subject "Cancel Deletion Request". After 7 days, the process cannot be reversed.
What happens to active shipments when I delete my account?
Your account will be deactivated immediately. Any active shipments you are involved in will show you as "User Removed" to the other parties, and they will be notified. We strongly recommend completing or cancelling all active shipments before requesting deletion.
Will I receive confirmation?
Yes. We will send an email confirmation within 24 hours acknowledging your request, and a second email once the deletion is fully complete (within 30 days).
Can I re-register after deletion?
Yes. You can create a new account with the same email after deletion is complete. However, all previous data — shipment history, ratings, and records — will be permanently gone and cannot be restored.
Is deletion required by law?
Yes. Under GDPR (Europe), CCPA (California), and similar laws, you have the right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"). We honour this right for all users globally regardless of location.
